Coming of the bench Chris Anderson came away with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 1 assist. He also had 11 free throws this game, scoring 7 of them.

Any Miami vs Chicago game is physical, this game was the same, 6 Heat players ending up on the floor in the first 6 minutes of the game. But the Heat seemed to control this game throughout. it was an enjoyable game with good back and forth action and as i said, it was physical. Miami already clinched the playoffs, they didn’t need a victory, but they still battled and went on to win.

In the second half i was liking Miami’s defense, they where defending well and they turned a lot of defensive plays into attacking plays for them selves and made points from doing so.  Miami had a few sloppy plays at the beginning of the third quarter, giving the bulls two chances for 4 points. But Miami where still very in control of the game, Miami controlled the ball game, besides one point in the third quarter they went 1 point behind, soon to being it back on go ahead of the Bulls. Miami led the Bulls 86 – 77 at the end of the third. Miami had a shooting percentage of 59% and the Bulls had 40%.

In the fourth quarter Miami again controlled the game, they seemed to not have any problems with the bulls. But although the bulls aren’t playing with their strongest team, i didn’t think the bulls where playing well, but to their credit they did ‘hang’ with the bulls still, by no means was it a blow out.  With 1 minute left in the game Mike Miller scored a 3 pointer and Lebron James scored 2 points from the free throw putting the final nail in the coffin of the Bulls. Miami victorious against the Bulls, winning their 36th home game this season in a physical enjoyable game.

Heat vs Celtics -109 – 101

Miami_Heat_logoThe Heat looking for their 63rd win this season, against the Celtics.

Lets kick of with some stats for the game as usual. First up, Heat stats here for you. Lebron james with20 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists, Rashad Lewis got 19 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist, Ray Allen had 17 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist, Chris Bosh came away with17 points, 7 rebounds and 1 assist, Norris Cole had12 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists, Dwayne Wade got 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists, Mario Chalmers had 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists and Chris Andersen had 4 points, 5 rebounds. The Heat break the Three point record of the 96 – 97 Heat team, just to mention one of many records set by the Heat this season.

Here is some stats for the Celtics.

Jeff Green came away with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists, Jordan Crawford got 20 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists, Courtney Lee had 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists, Brandon Bass with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 1 assist, Avery Bradley got 7 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists, Jason Terry had 6 points, 1 rebound and 3 assists, Terrance Williams had 6 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists and Chris Wilcox got 2 points, 5 rebounds.

To kick of this recap of the game, Miami started of slow against the Celtics who seemed to come out hot. The Celtics where shooting well and gaining early points, the whole Celtics starting 5 had scored by half way though the first quarter. While Miami seemed to not be able to find the basket for nearly 4 minutes into the first quarter. The Heat where 0/6 on triples after 9 minutes, which was odd for the Heat who are usually flying with threes. But Lebron James was bringing it back, scoring double figures and 4 dunks. The Celtics finish the quarter leading the Heat 27 – 17.

The Heat come out playing much better, with 20 straight points from the reserves, they where 0/6 on threes but the Heat picked up their game scoring 5 in a row but this did come late for the heat with Ray Allen kicking off the threes for Miami. Also an improvement from a couple of nights ago against the Wizards was the heats turnovers, only having 8 half way through the second quarter. in my opinion The Celtics  dropped their play, letting the Heat score 41 points in the second quarter, which is the highest for the heat this season. Miami where averaging 59% shooting while the Celtics where averaging 50%. the Heat leading at the half 58 – 50.

Straight away the Heat give away their 9th turnover resulting in a Celtics 3 point, but the Heat come out hot, Lebron James playing well in the third quarter Rashad lewis coming out strong in the third also, the Heat averaged 57% shooting in the third. The Celtics seemed to be still in the game, they where still taking the ball up and scoring, but it seemed Miami had a different kind of motivation in them, ending the third very strong and on top.

At the start of the 4th the Heat come out early again leading 91 – 75, the Heat looking strong still. Miami take a game high 16 point lead early on. The game is pretty much a back and forth, not too much happening in the first 7 minutes of the fourth, the Heat scored 11 points and the Celtics scored 12 points. C.Lee trying to get the Celtics back in late on with 13 points in the fourth quarter late on with barely any minutes left but this impressive stat was not enough to beat the Heat. Heat win 109 – 101.

Heat to play Big three vs Celtics

Miami heat will put out the big three, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh tonight vs the Celtics. The Heat will rest Shane Battier and Udonis Haslem tonight vs the Celtics though.

With the big three back, it is likely that the Heat will move on to another victory (63rd of the season) but of course that is just my opinion.

I will be adding a game recap straight after tonight’s game, so if you would, give some feedback, it is always helpful, thanks 🙂

Miami Heat VS Washington Wizards. Heat 103 – Wizards 98

heat vs wizardsWith Miami looking for a 62nd victory, to set a franchise record, they will have to do so without 4 starters, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem. The Heat have won the Wizards 69 times, How will this pan out for the Heat?

First lets go through some impressive stats from the game.

Ray Allen had a really impressive game getting 23 points,6 rebounds and 4 assists. R.Lewis picked up 17 points,5 rebounds and 1 assist. S.Battier scored 15 points,3 rebounds and 4 assists. M.Miller got 14 points,8 rebounds and 1 assist and M.Chalmers picked up 13 points,4 rebounds and 8 assists. For me this was really impressive by the Heat.

Wizards A.J Price got 23 points,1 rebound, J.Wall picked up 17 points,9 rebounds and 11 assists, he averages 18 points a game this season, so he picked up impressive stats this game. Nene gained 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists, M,Webster picked up 12 points, 1 rebound 2 assists.

Now lets get on to how the game went, it was better than what i expected, with the Heat missing the Star power.

The game started of fast for the heat scoring the first 8 points of the game. Miami also scored  5 triples. Sadly Miami had problems with the turnovers in the first quarter racking up 11 turnovers, while the Wizards picked up 6 turnovers in the first quarter. Miami’s Norris Cole gave away 3 of these within 2 minutes near the end of the quarter. The Heat started off fast paced but with sloppy turnovers this resulted in the Heat only leading by 3 at the end of  this low scoring 1st quarter 22 – 25 Wizards.

In the second quarter Miami had another 4 turnovers, the first turnover of the quarter, early on, resulted in a 3 point gain for the wizards. In the second quarter the wizards had an impressive 6/10 triples.Miami had 16/39 FG and the Wizards had 17/38 FG at the end of the half. By the end of the second quarter, they also led Miami 50 – 46 going in at half time.

In the third quarter, Miami had managed to rack up a total of 19 turnovers so far. Shane Battier made 15 points and triples by the end of the 3rd , Miller picked up 14 points, Mario Chalmers picked up 11 points and 8 assists. Wizards Nene picked up 11 points and AJ Price picked up 13 points. Miami trailed the quarter again by 3 points 69 – 72 Wizards.

Granted the Heat where without 4 starters but the turnovers in this game where not good the heat ended with 22 turnovers for the heat. The game got exciting in the fourth quarter, but even though the Heat didn’t have the star power the performance was impressive, Without the ‘Stars’ The Heat players pulled together and put on a good show and all players contributed well and pulled out a victory over the Wizards away from home.

With this win the Heat clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They also set the new record for the franchise record with the 62nd win of the season.
